AGONIST is a Nordic fragrance brand. What it means? The Nordic culture is steeped in melancholy inspiration as presented in cinema by Bergman, or in poetry and literature. Names like Boy and his sock and other icons from Swedish culture immediately come to mind. Yes all of these and others have probably served as a source of inspiration for the production of these perfumes, but not only. Nordic Climate and Grass Perfumes These perfumes, inspired by the Nordic climate, are composed of raw materials that are unique to the north, but they are also made in close collaboration with professional perfumes from Grass in France. The result is of unique de parfum, and as in Norse culture one speaks here of man and does not refer to gender, i.e. they were created for men or women alike. The glass bottles were made by hand from Swedish glass. The creator of them is the glass artist Asa Jongenlius in Costa Buda. The creators behind AGONIST behind this brand can be found two Christine and Nichols. Christine is a cheerful person who likes to surround herself with beautiful things. She is half French and studied fashion at the Berkot Studio in Paris where she lived for much of her career before returning to Sweden. Her passion for smell was always present in her life but escalated when she met her best friend in Paris whose father was "nose". She suddenly found herself in his studio every day discovering raw material and bombarding it with questions about fragrance and compositions. This was the starting point for her journey to the world of scent that later took shape when she met Nicholas in Sweden. Nicholas on the other hand is an avid creative person who works with visual art and graphic design. He is a designer who was educated at HDK - the Academy of Design and Crafts in Sweden and is always drawn to the abstract dimension of the scent, and to the way the scent activates memories, associations and experiences and transcends sight and touch. When he met Christine it was clear that their different backgrounds were meant to converge and this led to the birth of the brand AGONIST . The two testify to themselves that they travel, read, learn and try to experience as much as possible in their lives. As possessors of curious souls who share with each other a sense of taste and quality. They deepened and developed their various skills over many years through education and work. All of these gave them tools and processes to use and turn their ideas into projects and creative expressions. What does the brand's bottle symbolize as two very creative and meticulous people? No wonder the bottle of this brand is the result of a design process in which every detail is taken into account. To make the perfume the main protagonist, a bottle is created that represents the unique quality of the scent and the experience it will give to anyone who tries it. The goal is to be very inspired by the personal experience that each person has when trying out the AGONIST scents. When the client can understand the structure of the notes and follow the fragrance journey. So the creators of the brand decided to present the characters as a graphic pattern on the front. With the magnet in the hat, the various color dots handcrafted at the base and the proportions, they are all an expression of their sense of taste and expression. The two get their inspiration from where they live, an island in the Swedish archipelago, where the changing seasons and the dramatic expression of nature itself often affect them, as well as longing for light, endless summer nights, hard cliffs and the first flower scent that rises after a long, cold winter. In addition, they are also very inspired by contemporary culture, fashion, photography, art, music and cinema. Everything is integrated and collected intuitively. At the same time, in the process of choosing the raw material and collaborations with different perfumes, which brings them to produce a unique fragrance for them.
