Bortnikoff perfume house was founded in 2018 in Thailand, allowing a special combination of the Far East together with Eastern Europe. Maybe because the two main creators of his scents come from Russia and Thailand. This perfume house is located in Thailand which makes it very special among the many other perfume houses. Another, no less important fact, is that the fine perfume compositions are made from the rarest and most expensive natural ingredients in the world. Many of the oils are distilled by the company itself, making the fragrances truly unique. The entire composition contains between 95 and 100% natural ingredients. Dmitry Bortnikoff, the founder of the brand, is an architect and perfumer by profession. For a long time Dmitry spent in Asia, and he completely fell in love with its unique nature and wonderful scents. This helped him develop his olfactory abilities, and he discovered the art of distillation. Using floral and plant materials, he began to create exclusive perfumes. He soon discovered that the art of distillation is similar to the art of design and architecture, and that just like in design and architecture, the materials used play a big role. In 2013, he founded Feel-Oud, a company that distills oils from the world's most expensive agarwood and sandalwood. The result of this experience was the creation of his own perfume brand, which combines traditional distillation techniques, used in the 19th century. Along with innovations for the creation of modern masterpieces with extraordinary strength and also beautiful additions, which made sure to please everyone who put them on his skin, and also everyone around him. The fragrances by Bortnikoff offer an exquisite olfactory experience, a true touch of the raw beauty of nature, expressed in pure oils of the highest quality. The journey into the world of Bortnikoff's sensual compositions began with Feel-Oud as mentioned above, when during the creation of the brand, great attention was paid to the ingredients. The task was to find the rarest and most unusual of the materials that could be worked with. He searched for and found materials such as Beaver Castoreum from Russia, butter of the wild Vietnamese agarwood, real white ambergris of the Atlantic sperm whale, white Indonesian Rosa hybrid and more. In short, multiple recipes that families involved in the field of perfumery in the Far East have kept secret for generations. In addition, his decision was that all Bortnikoff perfumes come out in a limited series, not as a tribute to fashion, but as an association with 85% to 100% natural ingredients in our natural perfumes. A composition that cannot be repeated, a scent that cannot be reproduced. Just like you can't find wood with the same smell and distill it in the same way. His ambition was that each piece would have its own unique aroma and it would differ in smell depending on the season, the amount of precipitation and the air temperature at the time of flowering. In his perfumes the number of components reaches 50, this fact makes it difficult and even impossible to recreate the same fragrance again. This means that all collections are unique. With this complexity together with the high cost of the ingredients, the perfume connoisseurs among us are guaranteed that it is of the best quality and the highest level, and this is what makes Bortnikoff the ultimate brand. Since the inception of the Bortnikoff brand, he has distilled 39 perfumes into his fragrance base while working in collaboration with perfumer Rajesh Balkrishnan. One of his new fragrances is Chypre du Nord. Cypriot fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance, which was launched in 2020. The nose behind the perfume is of course Dmitry Bortnikoff. Top notes are orange and bergamot; middle notes are peach and nutmeg; Base notes are oakmoss, birch tar, natural musk, benzoin, tonka bean and cedar.
