Evody is a relatively new French fragrance brand created by two, mother and daughter, Regine Droin and Cerine Vasseur. Regine had a previous background in the cosmetics industry while Cerine had a flair for perfumery and haute couture fashion. The delightful result is of a collaboration between the two which eventually led to the opening of a boutique specializing in artistic, unique perfumes, the work of perfume artists. But as always, when something good comes into the world then many are the ones who are interested in it. The brand of the two has expanded, made a name for itself, forcing them to go beyond their initial demarcation boundaries. As of today, they already have 24 different fragrances and are starting to make a real name for themselves in the field of perfumes. So how does this combination between mother and daughter work, and what actually sets their perfumes apart? Regine is the one who created Evody. She built her career in the niche of cosmetics, developing various beauty products. But after it seemed that she was in control of this world, she discovered a new passion that she later built professionally. How did it happen? Well, thanks to her knowledge, a group of Parisian perfumers approached her to launch an advertising campaign dedicated to perfume. It can be said that from here on out her obsessive passion for perfume was born. Having gained experience in this field, she created her own enterprise whose purpose is to teach and guide in this field. In doing so she conveyed her love for perfume, its history, its scent, and its ability to evoke sensory imaginations. But she mostly managed to convey that love to her daughter Cerine. She showed a special interest in perfume from a young age, preferring essential oils from Regine's factory over her dolls. Even then she enjoyed concocting simple formulas as if she wanted to penetrate the secrets of the perfume. This is probably why she soon revealed surprisingly fragrant skills. Her first steps were in the field of fashion at work in haute couture, but she was soon caught up in the family passion for perfume, a passion she shared with her mother. Beyond perfume the brand defines mood, images, captured moments. Authentic fragrance compositions created according to the wishes of the creators. It is about mother and daughter and their shared passion that were the beginning of the exciting adventure of this brand. The name was not chosen at random as conveyed by the idea of evodia, "a tree of a hundred thousand flowers" that evokes the hundred thousand scents yet to be formed. So in search of new creative talent Regine and Cerine opened their first niche luxury perfume boutique in 2006 in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which of course they called Evody. They were the first in Paris to offer rare, intimate and expensive fragrances. When they shared this magical and addictive scent environment, they gradually dreamed of creating their own fragrances. But with the encouragement of their customers, the first perfumes created by the two soon became bestsellers in the boutique. The inspiration for their various collections was brought by the two artists from different fields. From the richness of nature, and the variety of different cultures, the trends of contemporary art, to the misty and captivating imagination that provides a beautiful escape. The perfume Onde 7 by Evody is an oriental wood fragrance designed for women and men. It was launched in 2016, and the nose behind this fragrance is Emily Burga. Its top notes are honey, daffodil and ginger; Middle notes are beeswax, guaiac wood and bean tonka; Base notes are Sandwal, Lebednum and Castrum, Patchouli and Musk. It is a fragrance suitable for the cool autumn and winter nights. Remains for a long time on the skin and has a significant and strong presence.
