India has its origins in the mists of antiquity, and its earliest history is known only through legend. Yet its modern reality beats with a young and vibrant life, every encounter with the rich cultural heritage of the country leaves one breathless and longing for more. This variety prompted Neela Vermeire to create and dedicate the first trio of fragrances of her brand Neela Vermeire Creations to India - her home country - while living and operating in Paris, her adopted capital city which in her eyes is the capital of the world. From childhood in India to adulthood in Paris: Neela's education in the social sciences and training in law may not have a direct connection to perfumes but her formative and early years in India had a great and lasting impact on her "fragrance design development". Of course Neela's main sources of inspiration are memories from her childhood in India and her many travels there to visit her family. Neela herself is proof that although one can wander far and live in vastly different places, the magic of India, of home, can never be left behind. Neela's love for art and fragrances was nurtured in her early years by her family. The Neela VermeireCreations brand's project stems from an intimate acquaintance with India's three great historical periods. Acquaintance she gained during the journey throughout her life. Each fragrance, like any period, is unique but completely connected. Each one is a tribute based on his unique inspiration. The inspiration comes from various sources like Indian spirituality, history, amazing scenery, serene Himalayas, trips to hill stations and seaports, arts, diverse architecture, amazing food, music, cinema and bright colors of India. To develop her fragrances inspired by India, Neela is happy to work with the famous French perfumer and fan of India, Bertrand Duchaufour. Bertrand is a true artist, a perfumer master who seamlessly combines natural and synthetic raw materials of the highest quality to create a sublime sensory experience. It is considered by many to be the greatest contemporary name. Bertrand began his perfume career in 1985, working for the Lautier Florasynth group in Grasse. His creative process follows two basic principles: First, he believes that balance is achieved when opposites persist, like yin and yang. Second, he claims that nothing is lost nor created; Everything changes. It distorts and breaks down nature, playing with contrasts like plant and animal characters. The famous Pierre Dinand designed the special bottle in 2012 for this brand. This special bottle has special ridges and reflects the special metal logo of the brand stamped on the extension. Under the Neela Vermeire Creations brand include eight perfumes, with the earliest edition being created in 2012 and the newest being from 2018. The newest perfume is Niral from 2018 designed for both men and women. The meaning of the name is unique, calm, peaceful. This is a perfume inspired by the British expert Sir Thomas Wardle (1831-1909) and celebrates his immense contribution to promoting the Indian silk trade from Bengal and Kashmir to Europe. Wardle's contribution may have been forgotten, but he collaborated and worked closely with some of the greatest textile trainers and silkscreen printers of his generation, Lady Elizabeth Wardle who incorporated the technique of natural silk dyeing, achieving stunning colors in jewelry shades. His wife, Lady Elizabeth Wardle, founded the Leek Embroidery Association which worked on artistic embroidery projects with silk tossers. The perfume opens with iris, tea and liqueur notes intertwined with notes and spices that resemble the texture of a piece of tossed silk, and symbolize a unique relationship that exists between England and India.
