Nicolai Les is perhaps the only perfume brand of the first niche wave that still belongs to its creators. In the current reality, this is actually an extraordinary phenomenon, because what could be more natural than promoting the business and then selling it to one of the industry's giants? But the perfumer Patricia de Nicolai, despite her great success, still insists on working independently. So what's her secret? According to her - love is the answer. Love for the work of her life, and of course for her children, who inherited her legacy. Nicolaï Parfumeur Createur is a real family business from France, and in 2019 it celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. Family business their way in the perfume world began Patricia and her husband as a young couple. "We started from nothing with my husband, just the two of us, and today we have a team of almost forty people, and Nikolai is available in more than thirty countries around the world. It's a sense of satisfaction, very encouraging for the future. Nothing is always certain ... everything can change very quickly, and always important "Thinking ahead with the whole team to create even more original and wonderful fragrances. My motivation to do so is high and will never leave me. Every action I take now is very important, not only to my exclusive personal satisfaction, but to the whole team," she says as she explains the success story Of Nicolai Les . Despite everything it is impossible to ignore the fact that Patricia is a member of the Gerlian family of well-known perfume manufacturers. No wonder then that among her favorite fragrances is the fragrance that Limer. When we started the brand, we were among the first of what we call 'niche brands.' My husband and I discovered step by step how to create and manage a brand. "The coherence of fragrances and packaging, but for ten years things have been clearer and more stabilized. We just became more professional, and as I said before, we always have to look ahead," she adds. Nicolai Les and niche brands her success is partly attributed to others' patricia, and to their interest in perfume: "Success exists because of true perfume lovers who are able to appreciate the quality and originality of our creations. "The level of knowledge in that they show that there are more fragrances other than the great classics ... so all of these are motivating for me to create high-level fragrances because I know more and more people are looking for it." Patchouli Intense is Nicolai Les 's best-selling fragrance, followed by Amber Kashmir. In its fragrances, Patricia uses ingredients such as Cambodian ode or fig, which are unique to its field. Despite everything, she is not ashamed to give her customers a taste of familiar perfumes and familiar fragrances, a kind of light stimulus that very quickly develops into a completely different fragrance. Elegance, refinement and durability Elegance, refinement and durability are the things that Patricia says she very much strives to achieve. And in her work the influence of the delicate and unique French style is indeed evident. These are of course fragrances produced at a very high level of quality that it strives to match. It strives to maintain short formulas and tends to typically use about thirty ingredients. Over the years she says she has been trying to lower the dosage of ingredients but this is a very difficult challenge for perfumes, since in long formulas, it is more difficult to understand the effect of each ingredient and obscure mistakes like extra dosage, less differentiated than in a short formula. In any case, the game with the various ingredients is what makes the perfume unique.
